COVID-19 Update, January 8, 2021

Girl wearing a mask, encouraging people to take the call when a contract tracer calls

The Hopewell Township Health Department received 43 new COVID-19 case reports this week, for a total of 453 cases since March of 2020. While we continue vaccinating our community healthcare workers and first responders, it is vital to maintain social distancing precautions, get tested if you have symptoms, and communicate with contact tracers to help us slow the spread of this virus. http://www.hopewelltwp.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=365

Nurses, doctors, paramedics, pharmacists and others with vaccination skills are encouraged to volunteer with the Medical Reserve Corps to assist with COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Interested residents can register at https://www.nj.gov/health/lh/njmrc/. A vaccinator refresher training is also being offered through Mercer County Community College - https://www.mccc.edu/ccs/programs/ccs_program_hp.shtml#vacc
