National Guard Competition Event 

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017 the NJ National Guard will be conducting a competition involving their personnel along the Delaware River.

Helicopters will be used to drop personnel off on the Pennsylvania side of Washington Crossing Park. Participants will then travel by inflatable boat across the river. Participants will then run south along the canal path.

The participants will then turn around and complete this same course in reverse.

This event is scheduled to take place between 7 AM and 12 PM.  

 

Road Construction Announcement

On or about Monday, April 10, 2017 Mercer County D.O.T. will be milling and paving Carter Road (CH 569) between Pennington Rocky Hill Road (Mt. Rose intersection) and Princeton Avenue in Hopewell Borough.

Work will occur Monday through Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. The road will be closed to through traffic during these hours. Full access will be permitted during non-working hours.

Motorists will be directed to use East Broad Street/Hopewell-Rocky Hill Road (CH 518), Province Line Road, and Cherry Valley Road.

This work is anticipated to take approximately 20 working days.

 

Bridge Reconstruction Notice

On or about Monday, December 5, 2016 the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will start the rehabilitation of the two bridges on River Drive, one over Fiddlers Creek, and one over Steele Run, which have been closed for over three years.

Sections of River Drive, near these two bridges, will remain closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration of the project.

The department of Administration provides:

  • Management of the Township organization

  • Support for the Township Committee and other boards, committees and commissions

  • Project management

  • Personnel and Risk Management

  • Public Relations and Public Information

The Township Administrator position is established by ordinance to carry out the above functions of the department, review, recommend and carry out the policies and programs authorized by the Committee. The Administrator is the chief administrative officer for the Township and is appointed by the Township Committee. All departments report to the Township Administrator.
