National Guard Competition Event 

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017 the NJ National Guard will be conducting a competition involving their personnel along the Delaware River.

Helicopters will be used to drop personnel off on the Pennsylvania side of Washington Crossing Park. Participants will then travel by inflatable boat across the river. Participants will then run south along the canal path.

The participants will then turn around and complete this same course in reverse.

This event is scheduled to take place between 7 AM and 12 PM.  


Road Construction Announcement

On or about Monday, April 10, 2017 Mercer County D.O.T. will be milling and paving Carter Road (CH 569) between Pennington Rocky Hill Road (Mt. Rose intersection) and Princeton Avenue in Hopewell Borough.

Work will occur Monday through Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. The road will be closed to through traffic during these hours. Full access will be permitted during non-working hours.

Motorists will be directed to use East Broad Street/Hopewell-Rocky Hill Road (CH 518), Province Line Road, and Cherry Valley Road.

This work is anticipated to take approximately 20 working days.


Bridge Reconstruction Notice

On or about Monday, December 5, 2016 the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will start the rehabilitation of the two bridges on River Drive, one over Fiddlers Creek, and one over Steele Run, which have been closed for over three years.

Sections of River Drive, near these two bridges, will remain closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration of the project.

This project is to be completed in 150 calendar days, weather permitting.

Administration's mission is to provide the necessary information to the Township Committee in order for policy to be set and decisions made in a timely matter.

Administration will support all staff by providing the needed technology with which to perform their job in an efficient manner, and by providing consistent and fair personnel policies using open communication strategies.

Administration will insure that all departments provide the highest level of government services to the community using available resources and personnel.

Overall responsibility for the day-to-day administration and coordination of municipal government services is the function of the Administration Office.

The Administration Office functions with the Township Administrator, Human Resource Director, Administrative Assistant, Purchasing Agent and Secretary.


  • Provide employees with technology applications to enhance efficiency and communications, which will enable them to perform their jobs effectively and productively, while improving processes and eliminating paper

  • Provide employee training to maximize technology investment

  • Promote web-based services for residents

  • Promote cooperative relationships with organized labor groups

  • Promote shared services via Interlocal agreements

  • Minimize the Township's claims/liability through the continued membership in the Mid Jersey Municipal Joint Insurance Fund

  • Promote communication and interaction among all municipal departments

  • Provide adequate staffing in reception area in order to direct visitors and/or callers to the appropriate department that will be able to assist them

  • Expand the Township's website so that residents could find information that they would normally call the Township to obtain

  • Keep public informed through newsletters, calendar, cable TV and website

  • Computerize personnel and benefit administration

  • Computerize worker's compensation administration

  • Upgrade the telephone system

  • Upgrade the mailing system
