Statement
There shall be a department
of Zoning.
The Zoning Officer
shall enforce and administer the Zoning Ordinance, chapter 17.
Short
Range Goals and Objectives
The zoning office currently uses a GIS computer mapping system
to access some information.
Having some of this
information "on line" for residents would be a welcomed
benefit.
Long
Range Goals and Objectives
The zoning office is the first step in reviewing the Land Use
regulations of land within Hopewell Township. Researching the
history of property as well as current regulations is a very time
consuming process.
The goals of this office
are to have direct and readily accessible electronic file system
for retrieving copies of plans, surveys, maps and resolutions.
This would ultimately require scanning of old documents and the
digital submission of new development applications.
