Nixle

Swift911 is now Nixle.

In an effort to improve its emergency communications, Hopewell Township has launched a new community notification service designed to deliver important and timely information to residents in our area using the latest technology. This new service is called Nixle. Using Nixle, Township officials are able to send recorded voice messages to home phones and cell phones, text messages to cell phones and email messages.

This notification system was built to provide secure and reliable communications and connects municipal agencies to residents in real time. Officials can map out a select area for notification or send a message to all of Hopewell Valley, depending on the event.

Nixle will supplement other methods currently used to rapidly get important information out to residents such as cable television notices and updates to the Hopewell Township website.

Phone Numbers

The Township has already obtained home phone (landline) contact information from Verizon and Comcast for emergency use. However, the Township does not have access to phone numbers for any other phone service providers. The Township also does not have access to cell phone data or email addresses.
