Records
The Records Bureau is responsible for filing and tracking all police reports, miscellaneous documentation, and firearms records.
Requests
All requests for copies of reports, including motor vehicle crash reports, can be made to the records clerk via telephone, or in person. Once arrangements have been made, a copy of the report will be available for pick-up at the records office during normal business hours. Please bring proper identification with you to pick up records and or reports.
The most common request is for a copy of a motor vehicle crash report. It is important to provide the records clerk with a date of the crash, name of a driver and / or the incident number. Hopewell Township Police handle in excess of 800 accidents per year and 25,000 calls for service, it becomes very important to provide as much data as possible to locate your report.

Online Records
Obtain an accident report online, the fee is $7 payable by credit card. You can search by date of accident, name, or case number.
Report Fees
- $0.05 per page for letter size
- $0.07 per page for legal size
- $5 for mailed accident reports (NJSA 39:4 to 131)
