COVID-19 update:

The Health Department is reporting 6 additional cases during the past week, however please note that 3 cases were within the same household. Our total case count is now 137. So far during October, about one-third of new cases within the Hopewell Valley have been under age 20. Unfortunately New Jersey has seen 13 straight days with new daily cases in excess of 1,000 and over 2,000 cases were reported today - https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2020/10/nj-reports-2089-new-covid-19-cases-7-more-deaths-1st-time-cases-have-hit-2k-since-early-may.html

Be assured that the Hopewell Township Health Department is monitoring for case reports seven days a week and will initiate immediate investigations, inform close contacts, and take recommended public health actions to help prevent further spread of illness in the community. We appreciate the ongoing cooperation of residents with our contact tracers. Please continue to wear a mask, avoid crowds, stay home if you are sick or have been exposed to an ill person, and avoid unnecessary travel.
