[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Update, January 25, 2021

covid virus

The Health Department investigated 28 new COVID-19 cases last week and we are unfortunately reporting 1 additional death. Cumulative cases are available at our COVID-19 counter – http://www.hopewelltwp.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=273

Please continue to remain vigilant, practice social distancing, wash hands often, wear cloth or disposable masks in public, and stay home if you are sick. Given the high rates of community transmission, we continue to recommend quarantining at home for a full 14 days if you have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19, whether or not you have symptoms. Free testing is available on Tuesday, 1/26/21 at the CURE Arena from 10am – 2pm. http://www.mercercounty.org/departments/division-of-public-health/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/covid-19-testing

The supply of COVID-19 vaccine remains limited – please be patient as New Jersey allocates weekly doses received from the Federal government. A vaccine call center to assist individuals with making appointments is now available at 1-855-568-0545. Please check our website frequently for updates - http://hopewelltwp.org/177/Senior-Services. Family members are encouraged to help older residents and loved ones to pre-register on the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System. All six New Jersey mega-sites are now in operation and they are available to anyone who lives, works, or studies in NJ. Health insurance is not required.
