Mercer County will be spraying for mosquitos in the Federal City Rd and Blackwell Rd areas September 2-4, weather permitting. Spraying will occur between 8pm and sunrise. The county will be using the Truck-Mounted Alduticide Zenivex (https://www.mercercounty.org/home/showdocument?id=2626) or Anvil 2+2 (https://www.mercercounty.org/home/showdocument?id=23692).
The Mercer County Mosquito Control office maintains no regular spraying schedule. The applications are conducted in specific areas when deemed absolutely necessary and under the appropriate environmental conditions. These applications are done in order to bring mosquito populations to tolerable levels and to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne disease.
