988 is the new, nationwide, three-digit dialing code for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

If you call, text, or chat 988, you will be connected to a trained counselor who will listen, understand how your problems are affecting you, provide support, and connect you to available resources. You can remain anonymous- It’s OK to not say who you are or where you are when you contact 988.

Remember, suicide is not inevitable. Get help.
