The Hopewell YMCA is offering the National Diabetes Prevention Program free of charge! This Nationally recognized CDC program helps participants who have been diagnosed as prediabetic reduce their weight, increase physical activity, and manage other stress triggers that affect their well-being. The research has shown that participants who lose 5%-7% of their body weight have reduced their A1C levels and in doing so can prevent/delay the onset of type 2 Diabetes.
