[ARCHIVED] County road work starting around May 8th on Pennington-Hopewell Rd AND Cleveland Rd

Beginning on or around Monday, May 8th, Mercer County is starting 2 new road projects in the Township. The start and duration of these projects are weather dependent.

A milling and resurfacing project on Pennington-Hopewell Road (CR 654) will go from New Jersey State Route 31 (NJ Route 31) to Marshalls Corner-Woodsville Road. This project will take approximately ten (10) working days, weather permitting. During the construction, Pennington-Hopewell Rd will be closed to through traffic 9am- 3pm, Monday through Friday. Access will be permitted for emergency vehicles and local residents. Delivery vehicles will be permitted to make deliveries within the construction areas, all others will be instructed to take a detour.

The bridge over Stony Brook on Cleveland Road (Structure No. 231.1) is being repaired. This project will also take approximately ten (10) working days, weather permitting. Cleveland Rd will be closed for the duration of the project. Access will be permitted for emergency vehicles and local residents on either side of the bridge. Delivery vehicles will be permitted to make deliveries within the construction areas, all others will be instructed to take a detour.

Both projects are being completed by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. Detours will be marked and officers will be posted. Questions? Call 609-989-6629.
