The Princeton West Innovation Campus will have a new tenant soon. BeiGene, a global biotechnology company focused on developing innovative cancer medicines, is building a new campus consisting of administrative offices, and research and manufacturing facilities.
Two of the planned buildings on the campus will be constructed with pre-fabricated building modules constructed off-site and transported from the Port of Philadelphia. Over the course of three months, oversized vehicles carrying these modular units will make their way through the area to the new BeiGene site located at 311 Pennington – Rocky Hill Road in Hopewell. We know this will create some inconvenience for the community, including some traffic delays at certain points during the day.
BeiGene’s facility is expected to be completed in 2024.
BeiGene has been working with local officials to ensure that there is minimal disruption to residents and visitors.
Details of the transport:
- Set to begin on or around June 5, 2023, and end on or around August 25, 2023
- Four trucks will move in a convoy (escorted by police) ONCE a day between 9AM – 11:30AM. Alternative timeslots include 1PM – 3PM or 6PM – 8PM
- For community safety, the trucks will be escorted by police officers and not exceed 15 mph, with an average of 10 mph for the duration of the transport
- Motorists should anticipate short-term delays in the vicinity of the transport operations and at intersections where temporary traffic stoppages of traffic will occur
BeiGene looks forward to being a part of the Hopewell Valley community and wants to create an opportunity for residents to be well informed and ask questions.
