[ARCHIVED] National Groundwater Awareness Week 2024

Public Health logo

The Hopewell Township Health Department is proud to celebrate the 25th annual National Groundwater Awareness Week from March 10th to March 16th, 2024! This annual recognition serves as a reminder to all well owners to test, tend, and treat their private water systems. To ensure that your family’s well water is safe and healthy please schedule your annual drinking water sampling with a DEP certified laboratory. While there are many potential groundwater contaminants-of-concern, ordering a Private Well Testing Act (“PWTA”) analysis covers the most common issues. For more water well resources visit wellowner.org.

The Health Department has also partnered with several labs for discounted pricing on PFAS testing. These “forever chemicals” have been found in several areas of the Township. Homeowners can use any DEP-certified lab, but are encouraged to take advantage of these special prices.
