[ARCHIVED] Hopewell Township Health Department Works With the State on Vaccination Plan

Hopewell Health Department Vaccination pictureThe Hopewell Township Health Department is working in partnership with the Mercer County Health Officers Association to schedule COVID-19 vaccination clinics locally. Hospitals are currently vaccinating their staff and long-term care centers are expected to receive vaccine starting December 28th. The first series of local clinics will focus on Emergency Medical Services personnel and other community healthcare workers (Phase 1A). The next priority group (1B) will be seniors ages 75 and older and frontline essential workers. Phase 1C includes seniors ages 65 to 74, people ages 16-64 with underlying health conditions, and other essential workers. The New Jersey Department of Health will determine the timing of each phase as supplies increase. Local health departments are one part of a collaborative effort to vaccinate the public, along with pharmacies, urgent care centers, and doctor’s offices.
