COVID-19 Update: It is with great sadness that we are reporting the death of one of our senior community members due to COVID-19. We know that you are experiencing COVID fatigue, but please do not let down your guard! The Health Department is managing a post-holiday surge of cases, with 43 cases during the first week of January and an additional 53 cases received this past week. The Township has now had over 500 COVID-19 cases and lost 9 beloved residents. Hospitalizations are expected to rise over the coming weeks from this surge of new cases.
Although the vaccine is here, we will not be out of the woods anytime soon. Please avoid any type of indoor gathering and keep your interactions and the number of people at any gathering as low as possible. Do not go anywhere if you are sick and do not dismiss it as a cold or allergies. While we look forward to an increased vaccine supply and the opening of local clinics, please continue to be patient and cautious, and pre-register at the State portal for updates and scheduling when available – www.covidvaccine.nj.gov.
