Do you have old or unused medications lying around? The Hopewell Township Police Department participates in Project Medicine Drop, a program that is part of the NJ Attorney General's effort to stop the diversion and abuse of prescription drugs, including highly addictive opiate painkillers.
Hopewell Valley residents are invited to drop off any unused prescription medications anonymously and with no questions asked. For safety reasons, the Project Medicine Drop box can only accept solid medications, such as pills, patches, inhalers, and similar objects. Liquids, medical waste, syringes or illegal drugs are not allowed.
Residents may visit the Hopewell Township Police Department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to dispose of their unused or excess medications. The box is located in the lobby.
