28 new cases of COVID-19 were reported last week, as of last Thursday, bringing our total case count to 562. January brought a significant number of cases among teenagers in the Township, resulting from gatherings prior to the resumption of in-person education. Please reinforce with your children the importance of continued pandemic precautions, especially with newly identified variants spreading in the United States. As the Health Department continues to support staffing at vaccination clinics, our next case updates will be posted on February 10th and February 20th.
As previously reported, the Health Department is working collaboratively with the Mercer County Health Officers Association to offer clinics at various locations throughout Mercer County, including an upcoming clinic at the Hopewell Elementary School. Please note that the vaccine supply remains limited and local allocations are coordinated between the State and Mercer County. The Health Department has been keeping an extensive waiting list for eligible Hopewell Valley residents. As vaccine doses are confirmed to be available, we are then reaching out directly to help our residents secure appointments.
A new waiting list request form is now available at our Senior Services website! Please visit http://hopewelltwp.org/177/Senior-Services to submit a request on behalf of yourself or a loved one in Hopewell Valley.
