Due to the current statewide vaccine shortage, the clinics held by municipal health divisions in Mercer County will be placed on a temporary hold. The State has informed local townships that because of the shortage it will no longer be able to supply vaccines to municipally-run clinics. Once the supply increases to meet the enormous demand, Hopewell Township is prepared to again accept those residents facing challenges in receiving care at the larger regional sites.
If you received your first vaccination at Hopewell Elementary, you will receive the second dose there.
In the meantime, the State has turned over all local vaccinations to Mercer County to distribute at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton and Mercer County Community College. Appointments are required at both sites through New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System (NJVSS). You can not drive-up to these sites without an appointment and expect to be vaccinated.

Existing Wait Lists: The existing wait list maintained by the Hopewell Township Health Department has not been abandoned. Eligible residents will be scheduled into a portion of the available appointments at one of the two county-facilitated vaccination sites - MCCC and CURE Arena. With over 1,500 residents still on the list, it will take time to vaccinate everyone currently included. After Thursday, February 11th there will be no more additions to the wait list, which may prioritize the oldest residents and those unable to navigate larger venues. Please sign up now if you are eligible and haven't yet. Info https://www.hopewelltwp.org/177/Senior-Services.
Please be patient and do not flood the phone lines and emails of the health department inquiring about your position on the list ...or waiting times. We are not equipped to provide this information. You will be contacted once an appointment is available. If you are a Veteran, or live or work at a VA facility, you may be eligible for vaccines through the VA. Everyone seeking vaccination is strongly encouraged to use the State’s centralized registration and take the first appointment offered to you. New Jersey Vaccination Scheduling System is available at: https://covidvaccine.nj.gov.
There are some local healthcare providers that offer vaccinations and some use a separate registration process. Please check with each site for details.
