I-295 southbound Exit 76 ramp to Route 29 to be closed for five weeks as part Scudder Falls Bridge project.
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the I-295 southbound Exit 76 ramp to Route 29 just past the Scudder Falls Bridge will be closed and detoured for several weeks as part of the Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement project.
Beginning in the early morning hours of Monday, July 12, the Delaware River Joint Bridge Toll Commission (DRJBTC), which owns and operates the bridge and is conducting the replacement project, is scheduled to close and detour the I-295 southbound Exit 76 ramp to Route 29, which is located immediately after crossing the Scudder Falls Bridge into New Jersey. The following detour will be in place for approximately five weeks:
I-295 southbound Exit 76 to Route 29 detour
• Motorists crossing the Scudder Falls Bridge into New Jersey wishing to take Exit 76 to Route 29 will be directed to continue on I-295 southbound
• Take Exit 73A for Scotch Road/CR 611 north
• Once on Scotch Road, stay in the right lane and take the ramp for I-295 northbound
• Follow I-295 northbound and take Exit 76 for Route 29
