On Friday, August 13, the community joined the Hopewell Township Police Department and the community gathered to celebrate officers for their promotions, exceptional work, and outstanding academic achievement.  

The honorees were:

• Promotions: LT James Rosso, SGT Joseph Maccaquano, SGT Lincoln Karnoff, and SGT Robert Sparano 
• Valor Award: SGT Louis "Gino" Vastola, Officer Chris Vaccarino, Officer George "Mike" Peterson 
• Life Saving Award: Officer Vincent Amabile and Officer George "Mike" Peterson 
• Special Recognition for Academic Achievement: Officer John Ferner and DET Alexis Mirra
