PSE&G is upgrading the electric system in your neighborhood to continue to provide safe, reliable service. Construction crews are actively working on PSE&G and public right of way in Hopewell Township.
There has been an update to the construction activity along Carter Road. Due to last week’s storm there was a delay in construction resulting in the activity being pushed to this week. Crews are working on Carter Road between Cherry Valley Road and Cleveland Road. Work hours are between 8am and 6pm Monday through Friday. The duration of this activity is one week weather permitting. The work zone will be impassible from either direction, however, local residents will have access to their driveways. Commuters will be directed to follow the detour plan. Attached you will find the traffic plan for this week’s activity and the detour plan.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the interest of maintaining the safety of our customers, our employees, and their families, PSE&G workers and PSE&G contractors follow safety guidelines put into place by the CDC and NJ State Department of Health, as well as all directives from the Governor’s Office and county/municipal governments. This includes that our workers practice social distancing and we ask that you also maintain a safe distance from our crews. PSE&G will not need to enter your home or business because of this work.
Safety is our highest priority. It is essential that you and everyone using your property, including children and pets, refrain from going near our construction work zones.
