[ARCHIVED] URGENT! INFANT FORMULA RECALL

If you have purchased Similac, Alimentum, or Elecare powder infant formulas, check your lot number at https://www.similacrecall.com/us/en/home.html. The manufacturer is voluntarily recalling these products after receiving four consumer complaints related to bacterial illness in infants. No liquid formulas are affected by this recall. The powder formula products under recall have a multidigit number on the bottom of the container starting with the first two digits 22 through 37, contains K8, SH, or Z2 and with an expiration date of April 1, 2022, or after. 

Parents and caregivers are urged to visit the recall website & type in the code on the bottom of the package or call 1-800-986-8540. No action is needed for previously consumed product. If you have questions about feeding your child, contact your healthcare professional. As always, it is important to carefully follow the instructions for proper preparation, handling, and storage of powder formulas.
