Our Mission
The Hopewell Township Utility Department strives to provide safe and cost-effective water and wastewater services without interruption to all residents within the service areas. Our professionals keep an environmentally-friendly mindset and adhere to the most current standards set by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
Responsibilities:
The Hopewell Township Utility Department services 105 water customers and 1900 sewer customers. The water utility customers are within the Washington Crossing Estates neighborhood and the surrounding area. The Township provides clean, potable water from a well house that utilizes two groundwater wells and fills six miles of water main. The sanitary sewer is located in four neighborhoods throughout the Township; Princeton Farms, Hopewell Hunt, Wellington Manor, and Brandon Farms. The system is operated through three pump stations that are treated by Stony Brook Sewerage Authority or Ewing Lawrence Sewerage Authority, depending on location.
